An important message from the Beach Blast Tournament Director:

While the weather report looks mostly favorable now for the weekend, the beach saw a lot of rain this past weekend and during the week. We have had 2 good drying days prior to field set up tomorrow but there are still areas on the north side where there are large areas of flooding that will not be gone in time for set up. So at a minimum this means there will be some fields re-arrangement on the north side. It is also quite possible, but not certain at all, that some north fields may move to Central. Additionally, depending on the actual condition of the beach Friday morning, if we cannot set up all 64 fields, for whatever reason, we may need to reduce game times and/or start games at 8 AM with the last game going off at 5 PM. We will do everything we can to not have to do this but if have to, well we have to.

What you need to do:
1. Check for communications from us starting after lunch on Friday. Don’t email asking questions, just look for communications, our time is best spent figuring things out.
2. If you have multiple teams, make sure your plan A, or plan B, is that each team has its own coach in case of conflicts. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I will be able to do anything at all related to conflicts if I need to start changing things, which again I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO DO, I’m just being proactive in my communication here so you have the best shot of having things work out for you as best they can given the possible field conditions.

Related to the above, we will communicating during the event using these GotSport emails, posting on the Cape Express Soccer Club Facebook page, posting on the Morey’s Piers Beach Sports Facebook page AND most importantly, using Team App. Team App can be found on the Beach Blast page of the Cape Express website and its open to coaches, players and families. I recommend you make sure your team at least knows about the team app, it also has the Field Map and schedule posted.
